By emphasizing the acceptance of talented students, Baqir al-Olum University prepares these people to accept important scientific, executive and social influence responsibilities in order to be a leader in social, cultural and managerial activities and programs.

Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Shamsullah Mariji, President of Baqir al-Olum University (PBUH) and Iraq's Deputy Minister of Science discussed the fields of bilateral cooperation during a joint meeting on Monday, January 22.

At the beginning of this meeting, the president of Baqir al-Olum University elaborated on the goals, achievements and various disciplines of this university and said,” Baqir al-Olum University has a special focus on training forces who, in addition to being familiar with new human sciences, possess religious, Islamic and national concerns and their goal is to respond to the needs of the Islamic society.”

Hujjat al-Islam Mariji continued,” The number of applicants to study in this university is high to the extent that in some fields it is ten times the admission quota of that field, and this issue shows the high position of this university.”

He added,” By emphasizing the acceptance of talented people, Baqir al-Olum University prepares these people to accept important scientific, executive and social influence responsibilities and to be leaders in social, cultural and managerial activities and programs.”

Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher, Deputy Minister of Science of Iraq welcomed the President of Baqir al-Olum University (PBUH) and said,” Our relationship with Iranian universities is a good one since we have a close relationship with Baqir al-Olum University (PBUH).

He further welcomed the placement of Baqir al-Olum University in the prestigious international rankings, and expressed the special advantages of this university and offered suggestions to facilitate and complete the process of recruiting students from Iraq.

The Deputy Minister of Science of Iraq, emphasizing the development of scientific cooperation between Baqir al-Olum University and Iraqi universities, asked for the increase of joint memorandums, calling for the recruitment of talented Iraqi students in the form of scholarship programs.

He considered the pamphlets, articles and books published by Baqir al-Olum University to have a special place for the target society of Iraq and requested to submit a more complete report of the scientific output of this university to the Ministry of Science of Iraq.
