Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a massage, Ayatollah Araki expressed condolences over the martyrdom of   General Qasim Suleimani and Hajj Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes to Imam Al-Mahdi:

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent the most Merciful

“Of the believers are men who are true to that which they covenanted with Allah. Some of them have paid their vow by Martyrdom (in battle), and some of them still are waiting; and they have not altered in the least” [33:23]

Inevitably, the great commander of Islam and the heroic leader of the battle against arrogance, our dear and honourable brother, Haj Qasim Soleimani, joined his victorious martyred companions.

The dear brother and warrior of years of jihad and resistance, Abu Mahdi Mohandes and his companions were also honourably martyred. Without a doubt the blood of these great martyrs will soon yield and will result in the great victory of the resistance front.

I extend my condolences for this great loss to our Leader, to the people of Iran and Iraq, to all the warriors of resistance, and to all the oppressed nations of the region, and I ask Allah (swt) to grant rewards and patience to the survivors of these beloved martyrs.
