Hawzah News Agency - (Mashhad - Iran) - A visit to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) to take part in cultural and religious programs hosted by the Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs Department of Astan Quds Razavi, the body in charge of the holy shrine.

On the sidelines of the visit, Mohammad Ahmed Rafi, the Sunni Friday prayer leader from Iraq, stated that Sunnis, like their Shia Muslim brothers are devoted to the Infallible Imams, since they also love the Prophet’s household and pay special respect to the Shia Imams.

“I came on behalf of the Sunni scholars to reiterate  unity among Muslims and to convey the message of love and friendship; no doubt the expression of love to this pure family would help us follow their example and adapt our lives to their orders,” he said.

Pointing out that Shia and Sunni Muslims can unite with respect to each other’s beliefs and thoughts to defeat the enemies of Islam as one nation, he added, “I pray to God the Almighty for the health and wellness of the Revolution’s Leader and Astan Quds Razavi’s Chief Custodian. I wish all the servants a great success, and I ask God to bless me with another chance to visit Imam Reza’s holy shrine.”

This is the third time Rafi has attended the holy shrine after an intermission in between. According to him, there are many changes implemented in the holy shrine during this period.

“Iranians have given a special boost to the shrine which is truly exemplary and distinctive,” he noted.
