Turkish Shias Visit Women's Islamic Seminary in Qom

A delegation of Turkish Shia women paid a visit to the management center of women's Islamic seminary in Qom and held a meeting with the center's authorities.

Hawzah News Agency-(Qom, Iran) At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkish delegation became familiar with the ongoing activities of the center and later some Shia clerics including Hujjat al-Islam Khoshgovar, international affairs' expert in women's Islamic seminary, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Taqi Ghandi, Head of Women's Seminary in Qom as well as Mrs. Elahi Pour, expert in Islamic Communications, made some remarks regarding the activities of women's seminary.

Hujjat al-Islam Ghandi highlighted on women's necessity to learn Quran and Islamic rulings adding, "It goes without saying that learning Islamic sciences must be authorized by a religious scholar; a scholar who is expert in his field of science and Islamic ethics in order to be able to teach different topics," Hawzah reported.

Head of the women' Islamic seminaries also asked the Shia Turkish women present at the meeting to set an actual example of Shia's profound principles and teachings  by their actions and behaviors in order to introduce real Shiism in Turkey,"

He added, "Shi Muslims, in addition to following Ahl ul-Bayts' doctrine must also manifest their teachings by doing good deeds in society,"

The Turkish delegation also elaborated on their ceremonies held for special Islamic occasions in Turkey and announced they are producing a documentary on Imam Khomeini's life, the founder of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

At the end of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Ghandi offered a plan to establish an Islamic seminary for the enthusiastic Muslim women in Turkey to engage in learning Islamic sciences.
