Inauguration ceremony for the new Head of Iranian Seminaries

The ceremony for Inauguration of new head of Iranian Islamic seminaries was held in Qom in which some prominent Shia scholars attended

Hawzah News Agency- The ceremony for Inauguration of new head of Iranian Islamic seminaries was held in Qom in which some prominent Shia scholars attended, including Ayatollahs Yazdi, Moqtadayi, Ostadi, Khatami, and Gharavi. The ceremony took place in the Management Center for the Islamic seminaries.

Some other seminary figures also participated in the event ,Hujjat al-Islams Jamshidi, Farrokh Fal, Navvab, Vaezi, Hosseini Nezhad, Rabbani, Nabavi, Hossein Khani, Malek Dar, Emad, Zamani, Molayi, Abadi Pisheh along with other seminary scholars and lecturers who were present at the ceremony.

After reciting some Quranic verses, Hujjat al-Islam Navvab, Chairman of the Secretariat for Supreme Council of Islamic Seminaries welcomed the honored guests.

Following the recitation of Quran, Ayatollah Ostadi, Secretary General of Supreme Council of Seminaries made some remarks, “We must try to adhere to the very foundation of Islamic seminaries, if we could further its progress then it proves seminaries are developing,” he said.

Presenting a report on previous activities in Islamic Seminaries, Ayatollah Bushehri, the former head of Iranian Seminaries said, “It takes a lot of effort to work in an organization as influential as Seminaries,”

Stressing that so much effort has been made to organize and promote Islamic seminaries’ objectives, the new head of Islamic seminaries, Ayatollah Araafi asserted, “Great figures have served the seminaries and I must appreciate my beloved friend, Ayatollah Bushehri for all he’s done during his term as the chairman of Iranian seminaries,”

It must be noted that since the beginning of concentrated management of Iranian Islamic seminaries, different Shia scholars have served as the head of seminaries including Ayatollahs Momen, Ostadi, Hosseini Bushehri and Moqtadayi.
