Hawzah News Agency- A non-Shia’s honor, wealth and life are same as a Shia jurist’s and they must be protected. The same way a Shia cleric and jurist’s life and wealth are considered valuable and treated with honor, therefore the life and wealth of a non-Shia are also valuable and must be protected.

Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani held a meeting with Secretary General of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought along with some managing directors of the above-mentioned Forum, during which Ayatollah stated, “If one acts upon Islamic rulings in terms of the methods for treating a Muslim, the effects of Shahadatain (Islamic testimonies of faith) ,then he or she realizes the religious rulings of Islam goes like this:“ You could pray in non-Shia’s mosques, Visit their patients, ask about their absent ones,” if one acts upon these rulings then imagine what affection of hearts and friendship would prevail among the Muslim world. These people do not know our religion well,”

Ayatollah further went on, “A non-Shia’s honor, wealth and life are worthy same as an Islamic jurist’s in terms of importance and they must be protected. The same way a Shia cleric and jurist’s life and wealth are considered valuable and treated with honor, the life and wealth of a non-Shia are also valuable and must be protected.

The grand jurist reiterated, “Greetings are considered as an opening act, you should visit the non-Shia’s patients in time of their illness, if a non-Shia’s house is under attack you have responsibility to protect them like you protect a Shia jurist’s house. I hope you follow these guidelines practically,”

He then addressed Ayatollah Araki and said, “We will never forget your father’s legacy, due to heredity factors I see all his traits are inevitably passed on to you, I ask God for your prosperity. This house belongs to you; I would welcome you here any time, your father and I were good companions for so many years,”
