At this meeting, participated by members of Qom seminary scholars' community together with Cardinal Turkson, Director of Pope council for peace and justice from Vatican, Ayatollah Bushehri welcomed the Cardinal and said,” at this crucial times, relations between Islamic and Christian religious leaders is a necessity, it is of great importance, since both sides share common concerns in terms of fighting against oppression, corruption, faithlessness and anti-religious movements in the world, we need to come up with immediate solutions to fight these threats.

The main problem that Christianity and Islam are facing today is the danger of extremism in both religions,” religious extremists do not respect any religious boundaries; they are representing Islamic and Christian beliefs in a terrible way, in a way that is neither accepted by Christianity nor Islam, “he added.

 Deputy of Qom seminary scholars’ community maintained,” we strongly condemn slaughtering innocent people by some extremists under the name of Islam,” as we have seen, similar anti-religious behavior has been done by some people in the Christian world, such as burning the holy book of Quran, which is not in any way according to peace and justice, yet, such actions provoke antagonism and hatred among monotheistic religions.
