Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi a prominent seminary professor and former member of the Assembly of Experts passed away today in Qom. He had recently been hospitalized due to illness.

His funeral is slated to be held tomorrow morning at 9 am, from Imam Hassan al-Askari (as) Mosque to the Holy Shrine of  Lady Masuma (sa).

Following the demise of Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi, head of the Assembly of Experts extended a message of condolences and praised Ayatollah Haeri’s valuable efforts in promotion of Islamic teachings and the culture of Ahl al-Bay (as)t.

Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani also sent a message to offer his condolences. He stressed that as a great professors of Islamic ethics, Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi played a significant role in training seminary students and clerics.
