Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) ‌- Question: In some cases which parents or teachers use inappropriate words against children or pupil, such as “fool, dumb”; are they committing sin?

Grand Ayatollah Vahid: Regarding teachers, using words which cause insult to the believer is not allowed, whether the person is an adult or non-adult; and regarding parents, the precaution is that they avoid it.
