Syrian people who believe in God, despite the war that was waged against their country and the difficulties they face, are still hand in hand to build the country anew.

Hawzah News Agency – Archbishop Krikor Koussa, Bishop of Alexandria, assured the Armenian Catholics, has affirmed that the Syrian people are united and no one can separate them and they have proven their readiness to sacrifice themselves to protect their homeland.

In a special statement to SANA’s correspondent in Cairo, after the Easter mass today, Archbishop Koussa said: We pray that peace will prevail in the world and end the evils, wars and terrorism that are getting fiercer.”

He stressed that the Syrian people who believe in God, despite the war that was waged against their country and the difficulties they face, are still hand in hand to build the country anew.

“In the past, the present and the future, we were and still are one people and one fabric, and no one can separate us from each other, and we are all ready to sacrifice ourselves so that Syria remains alive, strong, mighty, and a witness to building peace in the world,” Bishop Koussa said.

Archbishop Koussa paid a tribute to Syria, its heroic martyrs, and the steadfast Syrian people.
