The representative of Grand Ayatollah Sistani in Europe elaborated on the significance of Hajj rituals during this week's Friday Prayer sermon in London, UK. "During the Hajj rituals, Muslims abandon all their attachments to worldly desires in order to seek proximity to Allah almighty."

Hawzah News Agency (London, UK) – Head of Imam Ali (as) Islamic Center in London Hujjat al-Islam Mortadha Kashmiri remarked, "Hajj is among the most important religious-political obligatory acts in Islam; if the Muslim community pays attention to this ceremony's benefits in economic, social, religious and political areas then they would overcome the whole world."

 Hajj unites Muslim Community

Grand Ayatollah Sistani's representative in Europe further added, "Hajj rituals unite Muslim Ummah; during the days of Hajj rituals, we can notice that hearts of pilgrims and those who are not present in the ceremony are tied to holy Mecca and Ka'ba. All Muslims establish a form of spiritual connection to the holy places in Mecca. This public attention to Masjid al-Haram causes the whole Muslim community to integrate more and unite in their resolve."

"During the Hajj rituals, Muslims abandon all their attachments to worldly desires in order to seek proximity to Allah almighty. Such sense of spiritual connection to almighty results in the integrity of Muslim Ummah and that's why Hajj has a political value for the Islamic world." Hujjat al-Islam Kashmiri concluded.
