Hawzah News Agency (Brampton, Canada) - Delivering a sermon at the Masumeen Islamic Centre located in the Canadian suburb of Brampton, Canadian Shia Imam Jaffer H. Jaffer praised Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani for refusing to succumb to leaders of powers, stressing: “These are the type of leaders that Allah wants to see … It is our responsibility to support them and to pray for them.”

During his Friday Sermon on 28th July 2019 (Shawwal 24th, 1440), at the Masumeen Islamic Centre published on YouTube, Sheikh Jaffer said that it is the way of the Prophet’s Household (A.S) to stand up to humiliation and bullying like Iran and its leadership have been standing up to US President Donald Trump’s bullying.

“Trump has been bullying people his entire life, right?” he said. “From his days of business, and now we see that even more in his presidency.”

Jaffer said that Trump is and has always been a bully, and he denounced the tactics that he has been using to force other countries to fall into line.

Canadian Shia Imam praised Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei for refusing to succumb to leaders of powers, saying “These are the type of leaders that Allah wants to see … It is our responsibility to support them and to pray for them.”

He criticized Trump withdrawing from the JCPOA for “egocentric” reasons , saying that he negated [the Iran nuclear] deal without any grounds, really, but just because of his egocentric approach to life.

Sheikh Jaffar added U.S impose some of the heaviest sanctions on Iran and Trump’s sanctions represent another wave of bullying. He hopes tensions between Iran and the U.S. will subside without loss of innocent life.
