Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) - A source of emulation, based in Najaf, maintained that pilgrimage to the holy shrines is the starting point for purifying the self and society.

According to the correspondent in the holy city of Najaf, a group of Iraqi and foreign Shia met Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Najafi, a source of emulation.

During the visit, Ayatollah Najafi stated, “The man ought to improve his manner and individual behaviour through self-observation, watching his steps and steering clear of the wrong.He added, “The man is supposed to have recourse to the religion, its principles and the instructions of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).”

This source of emulation finally maintained, “Pilgrimage to the holy shrines is a good opportunity for correction, following the moral behaviour and stopping the commitment of the sins, as these holy places can act as a starting point for purifying the self and society.”
