Muslims’ neglect of Quranic commandments reason behind conflicts in Islamic World

A senior Iranian cleric said the conflicts in Muslim countries have their roots in plots hatched by the global arrogance as well as Muslims’ neglect of the Quranic commandments on unity.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi made the remarks in a meeting with a number of scholars and university figures from Syria on Saturday, stressing that the Muslim world is in need of unity more than ever.

This is what a large number of verses of the Quran and Hadiths have put emphasis on, he added.

The cleric noted that the Holy Quran described unity as a blessing and said according to the Holy Book, Divine assistance goes to those Muslims who are united.

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi also hailed the recent victories of the Axis of Resistance against terrorist groups in Syria.
