Islamic centre of England holds takleef celebration

A ceremony was held for Quran learners at the Islamic Centre of England to celebrate Takleef (the start of religious obligations for individuals).

Hawzah News Agency (London,  UK) - The center's educational institute organized the event ahead of Nimeh Sha'aban (the 15th day of the lunar Hijri month of Sha'aban that marks the birth anniversary of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent)).

The program included recitation of the Quran, poetry reading, and choral singing.

The boys and girls were also given gifts by Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Shomali, head of the center.

Addressing the ceremony, Hojat-ol-Islam Shomali congratulated the boys and girls for reaching the age of Takleef and urged them to keep their "book of deeds" clean by doing good deeds and avoiding sins.

He also underlined the importance of prayers and supplications.

The Islamic Centre of England is a Shia Islamic religious and cultural center in London whose mission is to provide services to members of the Muslim community, in particular, and the wider community at large, focusing on religious guidance and cultural issues.
