Qurans attributed to Infallible Imams (AS) were rewritten

Pages of Qur'anic verses attributed to Imams (AS) that were put on display in the Qur'an Museum of Astan Quds Razavi were rewritten.

Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) – According to the Astan News, Director of the Qur'an and the Exquisites Museum of Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents Center of Astan Quds Razavi said: "The Qur'an Museum, is preserving Holy Qur'an manuscripts ascribed to Imam Ali (AS), Imam Hasan Mojtaba (AS) , Imam Hussein (AS), Imam Sajjad (AS) and Imam Reza (AS), which are among the exquisite manuscripts of the Qur'an and the Exquisites Museum of Astan Quds Razavi.
Muhammad Reza Saqi, who himself is leading the execution of the rewriting project, pointed to the type of script in these Qur'anic verses saying, "These versions were written in primary Kofi script, which, due to the initial form and lack of points in this calligraphy, reading these verses are difficult for visitors."
"With respect to the frequent questions of visitors about the Kofi script, the text of the verses of the Holy Qur'an manuscripts ascribed to the Infallible Imams (AS) displayed at the museum were rewritten to the present script and was put on display in the museum beside the  originsl manuscripts", he added.
 Referring to this project executing for the first time after 32 years since the inauguration of the museum, director of the Qur'an and the Exquisites Museum of Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents Center of Astan Quds Razavi declared, "The Qur'an and the Exquisites Museum located in the Kowthar courtyard of the Razavi Holy Shrine is open during  the Nowruz days, except for the first and the thirteenth days of Farvardin from 8 to 17:45.
