Organizers of Tunisia's international Quran competition have sent an invitation to Iran to send a Quran expert to serve at the competition's panel of judges.

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) Organizers of Tunisia's international Quran competition have sent an invitation to Iran to send a Quran expert to serve at the competition's panel of judges. Iran's Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization has confirmed receiving the invitation.

Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Moghanni, an official with the organization, told that internationally-acclaimed Iranian Qari has been selected to be dispatched to the North African country as a referee.

He also noted that Mohammad Javad Moradi and Mohammad Hassan Movahedi will represent the country in the Quranic event as competitors.

Moradi is going to compete in the category of memorization of the entire Quran while Movahedi will take part in the recitation category, Hojat-ol-Islam Moghanni said.

Tunisia's international Quran competition is scheduled to be held in the capital, Tunis, in May.

In the previous edition of the contest in 2017, Iran's representative Seyed Mohammad Kermani came second in recitation but the country's contender in Quran memorization did not win any titles.
