 Courses on Islamic Principles Planned in Tatarstan

A series of courses on Islamic principles as well as Tatar language and the history of Tatars is planned to be held at mosques in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Hawzah News Agency (Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia) -  A series of courses on Islamic Principles as well as Tatar language and the history of Tatars is planned to be held at mosques. According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Russia, it is an initiative of Kamil Samigullin, the Mufti of Tatarstan.

The Religious Office of Tatarstan’s Muslims, Hudhur Publishing Center and the Russian Islamic Institute will cooperate in holding the courses.

 

 

Ten experts in Islamic studies and 15 Tatar language scholars are among the teachers of the series.

The free educational program will include three-month courses. 

 

 

Tatarstan is a federal subject of the Russian Federation located in the Volga Federal District. Its capital is the city of Kazan.

Over 55 percent of the estimated 3.8 million population in Tatarstan is Muslim.
