Grand Ayat Noori Hamedani

“Muslims must not be silent in the face of oppression. Muslim scholars had certain responsibilities in the past and as of today they have a role in leading the uprising against injustice worldwide.” said Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani in Qom.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with several Indian scholars in the city of Qom on Saturday, February 17, senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani quoted a hadith from Imam Ali on the importance of fight against injustice (as) saying, “One must not be silent in the face of enemies; This narration by Imam Ali (as) signifies the importance of the fight against injustice and oppression imposed by the Zionist regime and the global arrogance in present era.”

 

The revered Shia source of emulation further added, “Muslims must not be silent in the face of oppression. Muslim scholars had certain responsibilities in the past and as of today they have a role in leading the uprising against injustice worldwide.”

 

Reiterating that Saudi politicians slaughter innocent people in Yemen and Syria, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani added, “We Iranians consider Saudi regime as a U.S. puppet in the region; The Saudi regime is plotting against people of Syria and Yemen, furthermore, they slaughter Muslims in Yemen to prove their allegiance to their American allies and to please them.”

 

“I’m not addressing politicians, rather I’m talking to the whole Muslim community; I inform them that they must not be silent in the face of infidelity and oppression for if we keep this silence, we should expect more inhumane crimes and atrocities like the ones currently being carried out in Yemen, Occupied Palestine especially in Jerusalem al-Quds.” Shia scholar noted.

 

Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani concluded by saying, “The way to fight the arrogant powers and their allies in our region is that all Muslims unite in their resolve and break their silence in order to fight the injustice and oppression.”
