Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a message to a conference on fighting takfiri doctrine which is being held in Kabul, Afghanistan, Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi asserted, "By the grace of Allah almighty takfiris’ military occupation and caliphate in some Islamic countries has been destroyed; there’s hope that their blind terrorism in Afghanistan will soon come to an end as well."

The message continues, "Takfiri thoughts will not easily be eliminated by the downfall of ISIS (or Daesh or ISIL); It's possible that takfiri groups engage in new methods in order to deceive some other groups to join them and restart their terrorist activities in a new way."

The revered Shia source of emulation further stated in his message, "This is the responsibility of Muslim scholars and scientists to reveal takfiris' evil doctrine and inform people of their threats and corrupt thoughts; people must come to notice that Takfirism is against all Islamic principles and it should be eliminated."

"The root of takfiri thoughts must be burned through logical discussion and dialogue based on holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad’s (as) valuable teachings."

The message concludes, "According to Quran and prophet Muhammad’s doctrine, Islam is the religion of peace and kindness. Holy Quran advises Muslims to be kind toward all even non-Muslims; it urges Muslim community to only fight with those who are hostile towards Islam."
