Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In an interview with Hawzah News’ correspondent in Qom on Saturday, January 27, senior Shia cleric Ayatollah Murtadha Moqtadayi highlighted the importance of holding Islamic seminary’s annual book award and asserted, “This award has had numerous results and benefits for Iranian Islamic seminaries as well as the whole society; new research studies, innovations and scientific papers written by seminary students and scholars from around the country are presented in this ceremony. Moreover, these works they are judged by great scholars and professional figures in every field of study.”
The seminary lecturer added, “Among the good points of holding this award is that the best scholarly works and articles in Islamic seminary in different fields such as Islamic jurisdictions and principles, Quranic science as well as Hadith are introduced to public.”
“Introducing the best scholarly articles in the Annual Book Award helps familiarize people with the scientific outcomes of Islamic seminaries so that Iranian people and the whole world will know about such books and papers.”
He added, “Islamic seminary’s Annual Book Award encourages writers and scholars by introducing the best seminary books.”
Member of the Society of Seminary Teachers further pointed out the increase of quality and quantity of received works in the Book Award this year compared to previous years and said, “This increase indicates that Annual Book Award is influential in promoting seminary works.”
Member of Iranian Assembly of Experts recommended seminary scholars and researchers to have innovation in their studies and address issues of present era. “Seminary writers and scholars must try to pay special attention to current needs of Islamic world as well as Islamic Republic of Iran.”
