Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran ) - On the occasion of Jesus Christ's (PBUH) birth anniversary and the start of the Christian new year, leader of Islamic republic of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei paid a visit to the family of a Christian martyr of the Sacred Defense, Armen Avedissian. Armen Avedissian whose family live in Tehran, was martyred at age 28 when he was serving as an ambulance driver.
In this intimate meeting, martyr Avedissian’s parents talked to Ayatollah Khamenei and expressed gratitude and happiness for his kind visit.
Since the first years of the Sacred Defense, Ayatollah Khamenei have been visiting respected families of Iranian Christian martyrs every year. The book 'Christ in the Night of Glory' is an account of some of the memories written on the visits made by Ayatollah Khamenei, to the families of Iran’s Christian martyrs.
