Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – A group of Iraqi military commanders and popular mobilization forces met with senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi in the city of Najaf on Sunday.
During the meeting, the Shia source of emulation thanked Iraqi commanders and forces for their sacrifices during the fight against ISIS terrorists saying, "You managed to avenge the innocent blood of Iraqi youth from ISIS takfiri terrorists; you defended Iraqi holy shrines and defeated the terrorists."
The heads of Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces also thanked Iraqi senior clerics and sources of emulations for their support and guidelines during the fight against ISIS takfiri terrorists and asserted that their victories were result of their faith in the sanctity of Iraq and the prayers of Shia sources of emulation.
In a separate meeting, Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi received a group of Yazidis from the province of Nineveh during which he said, "The national unity of Iraq is our red line which must never be overlooked. Iraq belongs to all Iraqi people and they all share this country. No citizen’s right should be denied in Iraq," the senior cleric added.
Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi concluded by saying that "Iraqi people must learn from their past experiences and do not make the same mistakes."
