The holy city of Mecca will host an international conference on Hajj with the participation of the Muslim world’s scholars and intellectuals on August 26 and 27.

Hawzah News Agency (Mecca, Saudi Arabia) - According to the International Islamic News Agency (IINA), Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Pilgrimage will organize the international program titled "Hajj; Tribune of Peace”.

The participants will discuss various themes such as "Islam, the religion of peace”, "Hajj, tribune of peace in teaching and training”, "the jurisprudential richness of Hajj rituals and its influence on the realization of peace”, "peace ethics in Hajj rituals”, and "peace in Hajj for human, animals, plants and the environment”.

"The lessons of the Holy Prophet’s (pbuh) sermon in Hajjat-ol-Wida’ (farewell pilgrimage) for the realization of peace in family and society”, and "the application of digital media and its influence on serving Hajj pilgrims” are among other themes to be investigated in the conference.

Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca that every able-bodied and financially able Muslim is obliged to undertake at least once during their lifetime.

Some two million pilgrims are expected to take part in Hajj this year.
