 Senior cleric: Extremist, Takfiri thoughts threaten security of region

It is necessary to prevent the spread of extremist and Takfiri thoughts in the Islamic society and we should know that these thoughts threaten the security of the region’s nations," said the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi.

Hawzah News Agency - During the meeting with the Chairman of the Pakistan Senate, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, in the Velayat Hall of the Razavi Holy Shrine, stated, “The historical

interest of the people of Pakistan in the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) and the Infallible Imams (A.S.) is one of the common grounds for the two nations of Iran and Pakistan.” 

“We welcome the vast presence of Pakistani pilgrims in the Imam Reza (A.S.) Shrine and we welcome this great presence” he reiterated. 

“We can increase the number of Pakistani tourists to Mashhad and other cities in Iran by upgrading the infrastructures in the field of air and land travels” Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said, emphasizing that

we should increase our cooperation in order to facilitate the conditions of Pakistani pilgrims, improve their well-being and security. 

“The Muslim people of Yemen are oppressed and the duty of every Muslim is to protect the oppressed” he commented. 

“Today, all Muslim nations of the region hate the America, and US military intervention in Pakistan is one example of its intervention in other countries” Board Member of the Assembly of Experts reminded. 

Stating that the future and destiny of each nation should be determined by the people of that country said, “We appreciate Pakistan’s Senate stance in preventing Pakistani military intervention in Yemen.” 

“Maintaining the security of the region is a very important and crucial issue, and we must prevent the spread of extremist and Takfiri thoughts in Islamic society, and we also should know these thoughts threaten the

security of the nations of the region” Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi stressed. 

“Iran and Pakistan have close economic, cultural and political ties; however, the cooperation can be further developed in the field of tourism industry and the increase of tourism exchanges with Pakistan” he

expressed.
