'Palestinian hunger strike will bear fruit'

Author and Middle East expert Kevin Barrett has described the Palestinian hunger strike in Israeli jails as “a Gandhian tool” which has already attracted much attention internationally and is going to eventually have an impact on the status quo.

Hawzah News Agency - “The hunger strike is drawing attention to the issue of the abuse of prisoners in Palestine and the larger issue of the way that Palestinians are all imprisoned in essence. All of Palestine has been turning into an open air

prison for its native inhabitants,” Barrett told Press TV on Monday.

He was commenting on a mass protest action which began on April 17 by more than 1,600 Palestinian prisoners demanding an end to inhumane conditions in Israeli jails.
