Reiterating that long-term plans are essential to promoting Islam, head of Iranian seminaries concluded, “Having patience and detailed strategies can result in the success of promotional activities.”

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) -  Speaking at a general assembly for Iranian clerics on Thursday in Qom, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi asserted, “Promoting divine sciences and Islamic teachings shape the very basis of Islamic seminaries’ foundation.”

 

Member of seminaries’ supreme council further stressed the influential role of promotional activities saying, “Promoting Islam and its teachings is at the very heart of Islamic seminaries mission; this is the very cause for which the seminaries are striving.”

 

Elaborating on the history of seminaries throughout history, Qom’s Friday Prayer Imam added, “Anthropology and sociology are considered as two major prerequisites for carrying out promotional activities in any era.”

 

Ayatollah Arafi highlighted the significant role of anthropology saying, “this branch of science has expanded its domain in modern humanities; therefore, we need to reconsider humanities including social sciences from an Islamic point of view in our seminaries.”

 

“In order for the promotional activities to be effective, they must be appealing to the public masses and help improve conditions of the poor.”
