Hawzah News Agency (Damascus, Syria) - Led by the Russian-trained 5th Legion and 18th Tank Division, the Syrian army managed to push the terrorist forces at least 2 km east of the Palmyra military airport, killing and wounding several Daesh militants this afternoon.

As a result of this assault, the Syrian army has secured the Palmyra airport and forced many Daesh takfiri terrorists to retreat to the grain silos east of the city.

The Syrian army’s next task in east Palmyra will be to liberate these grain silos; if they fail to do so, then Daesh can reenter the ancient city from its eastern flank.
