Simultaneously with the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatimah (sa), daughter of Prophet Muhammad (sawa), mourning ceremonies are held in the houses of Iranian Shia sources of emulations and religious scholars which are attended by devoted Iranian Muslims.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Several commemoration ceremonies have been held in the offices of Shia sources of emulation in Qom, Iran on Thursday, March 2 to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatimah (sa), daughter of Prophet Muhammad (sawa).

 

These sessions were held in the houses of senior Shia scholars including Grand Ayatollahs Safi Golpaygani, Wahid Khorasani, Makarem Shirazi, Noori Hamedani, Shobeiri Zanjani, Jafar Sobhani, Javadi Amoli as well as Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani.

 

In Tehran, the Iranian capital, a mourning ceremony was also held to commemorate Lady Fatimah (sa) and it was attended by Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

In such mourning ceremonies often speeches are delivered to elaborate on Lady Fatima’s (sa) moral virtues followed by eulogies.

 

Grand Ayatollahs Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani as well as Hussein Wahid Khorasani also attended the processions alongside public masses of mourners and lovers of the Ahlul Bayt (as) to pay tribute to this noble lady.

 

 It must be noted that a funeral ceremony was held in Qom city for 5 defenders of the Holy Zaynabiyyah Shrine, who were martyred in Iraq and Syria while fighting against ISIS terrorists. Their bodies were later laid to rest in Lady Masumah’s (sa) holy shrine in Qom.
