The educational status of Iranian women before and after the Islamic Revolution

“Look and find out whether the number of female students studying at higher educational centers is higher in Iran today or it was higher during the rule of the past tyrannical dynasties?” said Ayatollah Khamenei.

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) – Here are some excerpts from Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks regarding the educational status of Iranian women before and after the 1979 Iranian Islamic Revolution:

Is the number of prominent, top scoring female university students higher today or was it higher before? Is there a larger population of Iranian women who are working and researching at medical centers and various scientific research centers today or was it larger during the Shah's time?

Is the number of women who actively appear in the political scene and international arenas where they defend the rights and ideas of this nation- their own nation- is it higher today or was it higher at that time? You can see that the numbers are higher today.
