“Imam Hussain (A.S.) does not only belong to Shia Muslims, he also does not belong to Muslims in general since he is a global figure and we must make sincere efforts in order to introduce the world to his great character,” the Turkish scholar said in Tehran.

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) – Speaking at the 10th edition of the World Assembly for Islamic Awakening Supreme Council held in the Iranian capital, Tehran on Friday December 15, Salah al-Din Oz Gondos said, “The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools is a great organization that provides excellent opportunities for us to discuss interfaith issues,”

 

Pointing out the impacts of promoting Imam Hussain’s (A.S.) movement on the Day of Ashura to help further Islamic Awakening worldwide, he reiterated that Imam Hussain’s movement serves as a model for Islamic Awakening today, “ His eminence’s movement sent a message to the whole world and taught people how to resist the infidels,”

 

The Turkish scholar further said that the sacrifices done by Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions on the day of Ashura continue to awaken nations even up to this date and added, “Imam Hussain (A.S.) does not belong to Shias only, his cause is not even limited to Muslims; Since he was a great character and the whole world must be introduced to his sacrifices and teachings,”

 

“During the Arbaeen Walk this year, we saw Christians took part in the pilgrimage to Imam Hussain’s Shrine in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq; this goes to prove the global influence of his eminence’s movement,”

 

At the end, OZ Gondos referred to the enemies’ strategies and techniques in attracting Muslim youth to deviated Islamic movements and concluded, “The Islamic Ummah must awaken and we also need to come up with appropriate counterstrategies to fight these threats,”
