Shia Institute’s 2016 Annual Symposium

The London-based Shia Institute has revealed the program of the 2016 annual symposium under the theme of ‘Lamenting Karbala; Commemoration, Mourning and Memory’ to be held this week.

Hawzah News Agency-(London, UK) The three-day exclusive event will feature several notable guest speakers including Ali Ridha Rizek from the University of Gottingen, Kamran Scot Aghaie from the University of Texas, Edith Szanto from the American University in Iraq, Sergio Moya Mena from the University of Costa Rica and many others from various universities and academies around the world.

The Shia Institute was established in 2012 and strives to promote scholarship on the Shia heritage and culture through its researches, publications and symposia.
