 Egyptian make Ramadan more tolerable

It’s the Muslim holy month of Ramadan during which people fast. But it’s not an easy job to do while you are in a country with a hot desert climate like Egypt, especially in the long days of summer.

Hawzah News Agency-It’s the Muslim holy month of Ramadan during which people fast. But it’s not an easy job to do while you are in a country with a hot desert climate like Egypt, especially in the long days of summer. But people have different ways of making it tolerable.

Muslims fast for different reasons, other than remembering the harshness of lives of the poor and the needy; they also take fasting as a scale of measuring faith.

During this month people in Cairo either start work earlier to avoid the heat, or cut their working hours during daytime and add to the evening hours.

People also come up with other ways such as swapping duties, so that the difficult job doesn’t remain the burden of one person.

End.
