Iran repels terrorist attack on southeastern turret

An attack by a terrorist group on a border turret in southeastern Iranian city of Saravan was repelled on Wednesday, an official announced.

Hawzah News Agency (Saravan, Iran) The attack mounted by the terrorist group of Jaysh al Zolm was repulsed by the vigilant Iranian forces along borders, Governor of Saravan Darvish Narouei said according to public relations office in southeastern Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan.

The clash between the Iranian border guards and the terrorists fortunately did not leave any casualties, Narouei said, adding that the members of the terrorist group fled to Pakistan.

In a related development on Tuesday, Sarbaz city, 500 km south of Zahedan which is the capital city of Sistan-Baluchestan Province, witnessed shooting from Jaysh al Zolm group to Jakigoor border regiment.

After 40-minute exhcnage of fire with the security forces, the terrorists escaped to Pakistan, governorate of Sarbaz reported.
