On the occasion of the opening of the Ahlul Bayt (as) grand mosque in the South African city of Cape Town, Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani issued a message in which he prayed for the mosque to be the center for all moral and ethical virtues.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - On the occasion of the opening of the Ahlul Bayt (as) grand mosque in the South African city of Cape Town, Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani issued a message in which he prayed for the mosque to be the center for all moral and ethical virtues.

In part of his message, Ayatollah Safi congratulated the opening of the new mosque in the blessed days of birth anniversary of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and said, “Fortunately this mosque has been named after the holy name of Ahlul Bayt (as); what a sacred and meaningful name!”

His Eminence added, “Ahlul Bayt (as) teach Muslims to all live together in peace, kindness and serenity and help each other, and solve problems with generosity and sacrifice.”

The revered source of emulation stressed on being true followers of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and said, “Today, we should announce to the world that the religion of Islam is the religion of brotherhood and mercy and kindness; a religion that is completely opposed to violence, assassination and brutal crimes.”

Ayatollah Safi concluded, “Thanks God almighty that Muslims in South Africa live peacefully and lovingly, and their behavior makes followers of other religions admire them.”
