Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani

"I wish that world leaders who gathered here in Hamburg for the G20 summit had discussed practical ways to fight the threats of terrorism, extremism and violence worldwide."

Hawzah News agency (Hamburg, Germany) – Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani, Head of the Islamic Center of Hamburg, addressed a group of Shia Muslims in the city of Hamburg , Germany on Tuesday, July 11.

 

During his speech, the Shia cleric pointed out the recent G20 summit in Hamburg and urged world leaders to come up with practical solutions to global issues such as terrorism and extremism. "I wish that world leaders who gathered here in Hamburg for the G20 summit had discussed practical ways to fight the threats of terrorism, extremism and violence worldwide."

 

Member of the Iranian Assembly of Experts added, "All countries must be prohibited from possession of nuclear weapons, and those countries that already have such weapons must be urged to destroy them."

 

"Massacre of innocent people and committing terrorist acts in any form must be prohibited by world leaders and international bodies; those who spread such false doctrine and sign arms deals with terrorist-sponsoring countries should also be prosecuted in international courts of justice."

 

"G20 countries should have announced in their final resolution that the destiny of every nation must be decided by its own people.  If only the world leaders were more concerned with promoting human values such as justice and spirituality and guide the present generations towards a condition where everyone's rights were truly respected and realized," Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani concluded.
