A group of ambassadors from Latin American countries, paid a visit to Al-Mustafa International University, and got familiar with the activities of this scientific and international center and talked with its managers.

Hawzah News Agency- Mr. Alberto Gonzalez Casales, Cuban ambassador in Tehran, had a meeting with Al-Mustafa International University chancellor and deputies on Tuesday, while thanking Al-Mustafa University for hosting him, he stated,” There are positive interactions between Iran and Cuba. In our country, there is a very good understanding of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and there is a great interest in increasing the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region.”

Referring to the many points of commonality between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Cuba, he said,” despite the common opportunities and challenges, the relationship between the two countries should be strengthened, and in this context, the establishment of the House of Culture and Persian Language in Cuba can be very useful. As we have seen today, Al-Mustafa University’s language level in the field of Spanish is really high and has provided a good opportunity for direct communication between us.”

Then Mrs. Romina Guadalupe Pérez Ramos, Ambassador of Bolivia in Tehran, welcomed the expansion of bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of science and technology, and noted,” The Islamic Republic of Iran pursues good public diplomacy in the field of science by setting up academic and cultural centers in the Latin American region which is very constructive.”

Mrs. Romina Guadalupe Perez Ramos considered the development of scientific and academic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran as one of the plans of the Bolivian government and stated,” We seek to eliminate intermediaries in our scientific and cultural relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this context, several meetings have been held with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science of Iran, and various programs have been put on the agenda.”

In addition, Mr. Moncada, Nicaragua's ambassador in Tehran, while appreciating Al-Mustafa International University for hosting him, noted,” through education, you can fight poverty and provide a better life for people. We are interested in scientific cooperation with Al-Mustafa International University.

He continued,” Our country is exposed to the media attack of the United States of America, which tries to question the relations between Nicaragua and the Islamic Republic of Iran; But we are ready to implement the previous agreements and memoranda with Iran's scientific and academic centers.”

Also, during this meeting, Mr. Rafael Silva, the ambassador of Venezuela in Tehran, emphasized the need to increase scientific, cultural and academic cooperation between Iran and Venezuela, and added,” This meeting showed that we can strengthen our scientific relations with the scientific centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Specially with Al-Mustafa International University.”
