The translator of the Holy Quran and Nahj al-Balagha in Russian said, "The book of Nahj al-Balagha has been fully translated into a few languages of the world."

Hawzah News Agency- Abdul Karim Taras was a keynote speaker at the Nahj al-Balagha heritage meeting in Central Asia, which was held at the meeting hall of the International Nahj al-Balagha Foundation,” Nahj al-Balagha is a scientific, philosophical and logical book.”

Pointing out that the translation of philosophical books requires a special linguistic skill, he said,” the book of Nahj al-Balagha has been completely translated into a few languages of the world.”

The translator of the Holy Quran and Nahj al-Balagha in Russian stated that among the countries of Central Asia, Tajikistan has the closest proximity to the Persian language and said,” Historically, the Tajik language is different from Persian, but in terms of literature, it’s the same as Persian language has a different accent.”

Pointing out that every educated Tajik can use books translated into Persian, he noted,” This is an exception and a special privilege for Tajikistan.”

Adding that translation etiquette should be observed in the translation of classic books, Taras clarified,” The translation of the Holy Quran into Russian has been done before the establishment of the Soviet Union and during the time of the tsars.”

Abduk Karim Taras further pointed out that the Shia religion is based on the Quran and can be easily proven based on the verses of the Holy Quran, he reminded,” Using religious bias in the translation of the Holy Quran is a serious mistake, because this causes other religions to not believe in the verses of the Holy Quran and accuse you of manipulating your translation.”

The translator of the Holy Quran and Nahj al-Balagha in Russian language further noted that among the 150 million Russian population, there are about 20 million Muslims and said,” Among them, only 4 to 5 million people are Shiites.”

Pointing out that the Shia school is the school of reason and rationalism, he said,” This issue is very effective and important in choosing a religion.”

Stating that after the Dissolution of the Soviet Union, the freedom to choose one's religion was created in Russia, Taras said,” During the Soviet era, there were no religious sources and books in Russia, but after the Dissolution of the Soviet Union, religious books became available in libraries.”
