Hawzah News Agency- Dr. Pirhossein Koulivand, the head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society, met with Hujjat al-Islam Shahrestani, the representative of Grand Ayatollah Sistani in Iran.

At the beginning of this meeting, the head of the Red Crescent Society presented a brief report on the humanitarian activities of The Red Crescent regarding the collection of public aid for the oppressed people of Palestine in the form of a humanitarian campaign.

Dr. Koulivand further pointed to the violation of humanitarian laws, including the attack of the Zionist usurper regime on Gaza Hospital and he strongly condemned these barbaric attacks.

The head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society further noted,” Since the beginning of the conflicts in Gaza, the Red Crescent Society has been trying to help the people of Gaza, but the Rafah crossing, which was the only route for humanitarian aid to Gaza, was shut down until recently, and 15 trucks of humanitarian items were passing through this route every day.”

He further stated,” 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid has been collected through the announcement of the call.”

Koulivand continued,” We have had meetings with different foreign officials and 86 national Red Crescents and we are trying to declare a crime against the Zionist regime for violating human rights.”

The head of the Red Crescent Society added, "The people of Gaza are in a dire situation in terms of medicine, and sending fuel and medicine is very crucial for them. Now that the Rafah crossing has been opened, 100 trucks of humanitarian items are sent to Gaza every day.”

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Javad Shahrestani also praised the performance of Iranian Red Crescent Society in helping the oppressed people of Palestine and said,” The Red Crescent Society has an important position in the international field; Because all countries want to cooperate with this population, which shows their trust in this organization.”
