Hawzah News Agency- Head of Iran’s Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi had a meeting with Balram Shukla, India's cultural adviser in Iran on Sunday, November 26 during which he said,” India and Iran are two countries connected to each other and have the deepest cultural ties; therefore, we must try to protect these scientific and cultural relations.”

The head of seminaries added,” If these two countries have deep social, cultural, political and economic relations, they can have positive effects on promoting peace and civilization in the world.”

Stating that the huge population and cultural diversity of India provides great opportunities, he said,” Iran also has special conditions in the world due to its strong history and civilization.”

Ayatollah Arafi pointed out that spirituality, morality, justice, human freedom and peace among humans have an important place, and noted,” These two countries can be the leaders of promoting these concepts at the regional and global level.”

Stating that the Islamic world including the Islamic Republic of Iran have a positive view of India, he clarified,” Strengthening academic and seminary relations between India and Iran is also very effective and important in this direction.”

Ayatollah Arafi went on to say that today many elites are studying comparative issues between religions, and said,” Qom is an important base and the main origin of the Islamic Revolution, and the discourse that is exported from Qom to the world is the logic of rationality, ethics and interaction with religions.”

Pointing out that we also have a logic of struggle against oppression, the head of Iran’s Seminary stated,” The basis of Qom's discourse is justice, spirituality, ethics and interaction between religions, and for this discourse, investment and scientific activity have been made.”

Ayatollah Arafi pointed out that Qom is ready to cooperate with the scientific centers of the world and said,” This cooperation can be formed especially with the scientific, cultural and religious centers of India.”
