Two delegations from Russia and Iraq visited the Seminary and University Research Institute in order to identify and agree on the fields of international scientific cooperation.

Hawzah News Agency-Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Baqer Saeedi Roshan, head of the Seminary and University Research Institute had a meeting with the members of two visiting delegations from Russia and Iraq on Saturday, November 25 during which he considered the creation of new Islamic culture, science and civilization in line with serving all human societies and stated,” Islamic science has a certain spirituality in its essence, and science in Islam is actually pursued for the benefit of the scientist and the Islamic society.”

He added,” Just as science is mixed with culture and cultural values, human sciences are also linked with values and cultures, specifically, divine values and Islamic teachings.”

Referring to Weber's point of view that human sciences in any culture can only identify and investigate the issues of that culture, the professor of the seminary and university said that the approach of the western world is to generalize this idea to all human beings in all human societies through the dominance of science and technology on all aspects of human life in other fields.”

Also, Aliakbar Aliakbarov, the head of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said in a speech,” Karl Marx and Weber prescribed a prescription for the world, because they considered Europe to be the whole world, and the dominance of European-centric thinking had caused a small and incomplete understanding of the East.”

Imad Jassim Salman, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Iraq and a member of the Board of Directors of Bait Al Hikma, also expressed that it is necessary to interact with the seminary of Najaf and academics in Iraq for the benefit of Islamic sciences in the Iraqi society, he also said, “The model of interaction and cooperation between the Islamic seminary and the university, in which the research center is based, can be effective for Iraq in this direction as well, and Bait al-Hikmah can play a significant role in bringing the Islamic seminary and the university closer together in Iraq.”
