The seminary professor said,” Social security is the most important goal of Islam in terms of social justice and social justice is also the most important principle in Islamic economics.”

Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Reza Hosseini, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics of the Seminary Research Institute, in his speech entitled "The Optimal Structure of Social Security in Islamic Economy" at the specialized meeting of the Islamic Economy Commission of the 7th International Congress of Islamic Humanities held in the conference hall of the Imam Khomeini Institute said,” The general policies of social security have several clauses, in which the design of a multi-layered system for social security in Iran is foreseen.”

Explaining the importance of social security in Islamic economy, he added,” Social security is the most important goal of Islam in terms of social justice, and social justice is also the most important principle in Islamic economy, and it is one of the conditions for realizing social justice.”

Hujjat al-Islam Hosseini said,” Martyr Sadr emphasized that Islam has made it obligatory to provide people's livelihood and the realization of this matter is pursued in different ways.”

The associate professor of the department of economics of the Research Center of Seminary pointed out,” the basics of social security in Islam is the right of everyone to access natural resources and wealth, if the capitalist and liberal systems are asked what social security is and what they have done to realize it, then definitely they will not have an answer because they do not believe in this matter as we Muslims do.”

In explaining the goals of social security in the Islamic economy, he said,” meeting the needs of life, of course, it must be determined that these needs are necessary, sufficient or related to people’s welfare.”

At the end of his speech, Hujjat al-Islam Hosseini said,” public prosperity, private procurement and government solidarity are also the mechanisms of social security in the Islamic approach.”
