Hawzah News Agency- Head of Iran’s Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi had a meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Seyed Saeed Reza Ameli, scientific secretary of the 5th World Congress of Imam Reza (PBUH) on Tuesday, November 21 in Qom during which he referred to the arrival of this imam in Iran, and said,” Imam Reza’s (PBUH) two-year presence in Marv is a unique and unparalleled event in the history of Imamate and Shiism.”
He added,” The emigration of Imam Reza (PBUH) was the only emigration of 14 Infallibles from Arab countries, and with this emigration, Imam Reza (PBUH) turned the threat of his time into an opportunity.”
Referring to the fact that Imam Reza (PBUH) has many attractions at the international level, the head of Iran’s Seminary said,” We have millions of Shia people who love Imam Reza (PBUH) who have not visited his holy shrine even once.”
He stated that this congress should be able to strengthen the government in the field of religious tourism, and stated that the infrastructure for people to travel to the holy shrine of Imam Reza should be increased.”
Pointing out that there are fields of cooperation in some international regions, Ayatollah Arafi said,” Among these regions are Bosnia, Serbia and Southeast Asian countries, which should be given more attention.”
In addition, Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyed Saeed Reza Ameli pointed out that the World Congress of Imam Reza (PBUH) has started since 1990 under the chairmanship of Iran’s Supreme Leader, and stated,” This congress has been held in 4 periods at the highest levels with the presence of high-ranking officials.”
Stating that the fifth session of the Congress is on the way to be held after a gap of several years, he said,” Planning has been done to hold 7 events in one year.”
The scientific secretary of the fifth edition of the World Congress of Imam Reza (PBUH) further pointed out that the slogan of the fifth congress is "justice for all, injustice to none", and said,” for each congress, we chose a specific title so that the congress would be popular at the international level.”
Stating that the issue of justice is a global issue, he noted,” This issue is one of the common principles and has formed a big circle at the global level.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ameli also pointed out that our approach is to increase international partnerships and added,” In this regard, we have held meetings in different countries and this process will continue at the national and international level.”
The scientific secretary of the fifth edition of the World Congress of Imam Reza (PBUH) went on to say that our effort is to use the opportunities with minimum costs and stated,” Although we have many international pilgrims, unfortunately, the intellectual extension of Imam Reza (PBUH) has not been formed in the world.”
At the end, he noted,” For this purpose, we are looking to hold a conference in Qom with the same international approach to gain even more publicity.”
