Hawzah News Agency- Vice President of Islamic Seminary Hujjat al-Islam Abulqasem Moghimi Haji, in an interview with Hawzah News on Monday, November 20 congratulated the Week of Book Reading and described some activities of the research assistant of Islamic seminaries in the matter of reading and equipping the libraries of the seminaries and said,” in most of the seminaries of Iran, students are provided with libraries.”
Referring to the existence of 500 libraries at the seminaries of Iran, he said,” Our libraries are very rich in many schools, and it can even be said that beyond the needs of a student in his education, there are books that can open up new horizons; there is a scientific opening in various scientific fields, including literature, logic, hadith, interpretation, etc.”
The Vice President of Research of Islamic Seminary further stated that his department supports these libraries in the form of a special system and all have files in the center of the book system and are monitored, adding that more than 300 libraries are equipped with research software, which is a software in which the contents of books are listed and it has networking capabilities. Therefore, the book readers can know the content of the listed books. More than half of our libraries are equipped with this software and can manage their affairs in this way.”
He said,” We have two well-equipped libraries in the seminary. One is the library of Ayatollah Haeri in Feyzieh school and the other is the library of Ayatollah Boroujerdi in the Grand Mosque, which are the two central libraries of the Islamic Seminary. These two libraries are also considered among the best libraries in Iran, because the volume and quality of works and advanced services have made these two centers as remarkable in this regard.”
The Shia cleric also noted, “We also have research units that operate in specialized centers, including the specialized center of Kalam, Also, scientific centers in provinces are equipped with libraries.”
Hujjat al-Islam Moghimi Haji elaborated on this fact that seminary research centers have very rich libraries, and said,” These libraries sometimes provide extensive services to other researchers in various fields.”
