Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli said,” We should avoid selling crude oil and gas because these are national capital and selling capital is treason to the country and we should use this raw material for production.”

Hawzah News Agency- Senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli had a meeting with Iran’s Oil Minister on Thursday, November 16 during which he appreciated the efforts of the officials and said,” Oil and gas are the national capital of the country and should remain for the next generation.”

He continued,” Iran has always been a great country, we Iranians are born of greatness, we have both history and geography, in the history of Iran there were great men and scholars who coordinated production with science, and we should also coordinate production with science and use raw materials. We should avoid selling oil and gas because these are national capital and selling capital is treason to the country.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli further added,” The industrialized countries of the world have a lot of activities, but they do not think at all about what we are and where we are going after this world!? But a person who thinks divinely believes that there is another life after this world and therefore he or she knows that what he does and the responsibility he has, he must be accountable in the next world.”

Referring to the letter of Amir al-Momenin to Malik Ashtar, the Shia scholar said,” Amir al-Momenin (PBUH) wrote in his letter to Malik Ashtar that O Malik! You heard that they said that prayer is the pillar of religion, beware that these people are also the pillar of religion, they are the pillar of politics and government, and if this pillar is damaged, it will be difficult to maintain the government.”

He said,” These people came to the battlefield in the eight-year war of holy defense and were in the front lines, martyrs, veterans, and they stopped the enemy and defended their country, so now the authorities must do their best to not harm people.”

He expressed his hope that all the efforts of the officials will be to preserve the greatness and dignity of the people of Iran.

At the beginning of this meeting, Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Oji presented a report on the economic situation and said, "In the petrochemical industry, we have tried to use Iranian experts, attract elites and knowledge-based companies to move towards self-sufficiency and more export in this industry."
