The representative of the South African Muslim Judicial Council MJC said in this conference,” Religious organizations, civil society, political parties and all groups are planning to start a series of demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinian people.”

Palestinians are in their homeland, from the river to the sea.”

MJC representative continued,” Gaza cannot be ethnically cleansed through genocidal military operations. We cannot accept another Nakba in Gaza in 2023, similar to the first Nakba Day in 1948.”

He added, "Palestinians have the indisputable right to resist colonization by settlers and apartheid, which according to international laws is a crime against humanity with all necessary means."

He further clarified,” We demand the right of return of all Palestinian refugees to their homeland with full compensation.”

Also, Siraj Desai, a retired judge of the Western Cape High Court, who was present at the event, said, “I categorically and clearly declare that the attack on the Palestinian people is not based on the law, therefore legitimate order must be established in the country.”

He continued, "What we are strongly advocating is for all the Palestinian people to enjoy their full rights and for the refugees to return so that people can resume their lives without being disturbed by colonial settlers."

He added,” The invasion of Palestine and the Gaza Strip is not only a violation of international laws, but also a fundamental violation of public modesty.”
