Hawzah News Agency- Shia scholar Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani had a meeting with the editorial board of the two quarterly journals "Fiqh and Ijtihad" which was held in the meeting hall of the Jurisprudence Center of the Infallible Imams (PBUT) in Qom on Thursday, September 21 during which the Ayatollah thanked the members of the editorial board of these two quarterly journals and added, “ many times the decision to suspend this magazine was taken, but it was not done due to the effort and resourcefulness of the officials and members of the editorial board.”
He added,” "In this magazine, we are really looking for the innovations of the elders of the Islamic Seminary to be reflected. We should look for research and innovations to be collected in courses outside the seminary and published in this magazine."
A member of the Society of Qom Seminary Teachers further referred to the innovations that prevail in Najaf and Qom seminaries and said,” if something new is presented in seminaries of Qom or Najaf, it should be reflected in this magazine. This is what has been done during this time.”
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani noted,” We are on the threshold of the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Qom Seminary, and it is appropriate that some issues of this magazine be dedicated to this topic. I believe that in the last 50 years, some of the thoughts of the late Ayatollah Haeri the founder of the Islamic Seminary, the late Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi, the late Grand Ayatollah Golpaygani and some other senior scholars have not been well presented in the seminary, neither in jurisprudence nor in principles, so it is necessary to dedicate at least one issue of this magazine to this matter.”
He concluded by saying that the Islamic seminary of Qom has many new and important dialogues that need to be reflected well, I believe that the innovations of the late Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi in jurisprudence have not been mentioned at all, and this magazine provides a great opportunity to share these opinions and thoughts with the enthusiasts.”
