 Shia, Sunni Unity Conference scheduled in Pakistan's Hyderabad

At a conference titled “Labayk Ya Rasullalah” which will be held in Hyderabad in Pakistan later this month, Both Shia and Sunni scholars urge Muslims to become the ambassadors of unity, and defeat the nefarious designs of divisive forces.

Hawzah News Agency (Hyderabad, Pakistan)‌ - A conference titled “Labayk Ya Rasullalah” (Here I am at your service O messenger of God) will be held in Hyderabad, a city located in the Sindh province of Pakistan later this month.   

 

Slated for Sunday, December 18, it aims to underscore the importance of unity among Sunni and Shia Muslims.   

 

The conference is held on the occasion of birthday of the Holy Prophet of Islam, which marks Islamic Unity Week.

   

A number of Shia and Sunni scholars and thinkers from different parts of the country are expected to attend the event. 

 

Muslims celebrate the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet (PBUH) as the ‘unity week’, to espouse the cause of unity among Muslims.   

Each year, a number of seminars, functions, and rallies are lined up for the week in different countries, with special emphasis on the need to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), strengthen unity among Muslims and promote the culture of amity and tolerance.   

 

Both Shia and Sunni scholars urge Muslims to become the ambassadors of unity, and defeat the nefarious designs of divisive forces.
