Shaykh Mirza Mohammed Abbas Raza has been appointed as the Internal Manager of the Hawza Ilmiyya of England for a period of two years as per the orders of Shaykh Dr Mohammed Ali Shomali, Director of the Hawza Ilmiyya of England. The letter of appointment reads as follows:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Dear Brother Hujjatul-Islam wa al-Muslimeen Shaykh Mirza Mohammed Abbas Raza,

As the term of the respected Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Shaykh Ahmad Fartousi has ended on the 21st August 2016, I wish to extend my thanks to him for his efforts and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. I am pleased to announce that you have been appointed for a 2 year-term as the Internal Manager of the Hawza Ilmiyya of England.

This appointment is in light of your presence at the holy Hawza of Qum for many years, your education at al-Mustafa International University, your academic studies and over a decade of educational and religious activities in England and elsewhere.

It is hoped that by the grace of God and the perseverance, painstaking efforts and sincerity witnessed in you and other colleagues at the Hawza, this sacred sapling would continue to grow and develop into a blessed and firmly rooted tree nourished by the knowledge and light of the Ahlul Bayt (as); and would deliver its fruits of wisdom and virtue to all, especially for seekers of knowledge and spirituality in the West.

The valuable contributions of the late Dr Elmi, who played an important role in the establishment of this Hawza, must be remembered. May his soul be showered with the mercy of Allah (swt). I also wish to recognise the valued effort of the Head of the Islamic College, Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Shaykh Isa Jahangir, who has always been supportive of the Hawza’s accomplishments. I would like to wish him – with the blessing of God Almighty – further success and prosperity.

Yours sincerely,

M A Shomali
