Hawzah News Agency- The strike also condemns the assassination of Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, declaring solidarity with the Lebanese nation’s noble kin.
In a statement, the association said one of Lebanon’s communities has been deeply wounded by the martyrdom of a great religious authority, who fell victim to treacherous US–Israeli aggression.
The association described the strike as a national duty, stressing it is not meant to exaggerate the dangers of the current stage, but to express solidarity with a dignified community.
It added that the move is a response to the oppression embodied in the aggressions of global arrogance—the United States and its tool, Israel—against nations that refuse to submit to humiliation.
Lebanon University: classes to continue or suspend based on assessments
Meanwhile, the presidency of Lebanon University issued a statement noting that in light of the current security situation caused by the war and its repercussions, and in consideration of the safety of students, faculty, and staff, deans and directors of faculties, institutes, and branches are to decide on whether to continue or suspend classes based on real assessments of each unit’s field conditions.
Marjeyoun schools closed
Elsewhere, the administrations of public and private schools and high schools in Marjeyoun, along with public and private educational institutions, announced closures and suspension of classes due to the new circumstances.
They said the decision was made to ensure the safety of all students and teaching staff, adding that classes are expected to resume on Tuesday if conditions permit.
